Our Mission
We believe that knowledge is powerful. Plan, Purpose &Promises, our journal driven mentoring program, began because we saw the need to help young girls discover, embrace and walk in their Purpose. By applying our initiatives of Community, Create, Focus, Being Intentional and Purpose, they are able to make quality life decisions.
We have restructured our program and now provide services upon request and hold community events.
Our Mission
Yoked Mentorship Program, began as the brother to Plan, Purpose &Promises, which was also journal driven. Our goal was to boys in discovering and embracing their purpose at an early age. By applying our initiatives of Community, Create, Focus, Being Intentional and Purpose, they are able to make quality life decisions. Integrity is also one of our initiatives.
Our Programs
Journaling has proven to improve focus, increase concentration , communication skills and self-confidence. It is also a helpful tool in addressing mental health issues.
Community Gardens
BOnPurpose currently has two community gardens, located at Whitehead's Barber Shop and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, which we manage during the summer months. We have also partnered with Nature Emporium's Community garden to assist with maintenance and upkeep. We believe that this endeavor gives our youth a sense of ownership which fosters a respect for their community.
